In 1968, Bill Wilson, Sr. started Wilson Farm Market.
Originally, the business was a self-service retail "fresh egg" business started with an old refrigerator and a muffin tin for customers to put their money in to pay for their eggs. Bill Sr. expanded to include fresh fruits and vegetables, and in 1971 sold the business to Bill, Jr. Both father and son still worked side by side, growing their own sweet corn for the business. Soon, many other items were being grown, including cantaloupe, green beans, tomatoes, pumpkins and zucchini.
Wilson Farm Market is located halfway between Indianapolis and Kokomo, Indiana on U.S. 31. Over the years, Wilsons' has blossomed into a full service "general store" providing freshness and quality with a full line of fresh fruits and vegetables. We also have a fudge counter and make our own fresh fudge using Amish butter, and have many flavors to offer, everything from plain ole' chocolate and peanut butter to peanut butter explosion and birthday cake fudge. We're always experimenting with new flavors and are sure you'll want to taste some fudge when you stop in!
